Did you know... that Enzo Ferrari was born in 1898. Between the first and second world wars Enzo Ferrari first drove for and then ran the racing team for Alfa Romeo. In 1939 he began his own company, but it wasn't until late 1946 before his first car was built. His cars began competing in May of 1947. All of his first cars were built for racing. It wasn't until 1948 that the first street legal cars were produced.
